Well, I take that to mean that we, Christians, should not take into consideration our Christian morals or practices when it comes time to elect individuals to represent US in public office. <P>That begs the question, Why NOT? <P>What then would they have us consider in a candidate? His or her popularity or celebrity status? How slick or quick-witted they are? Weather or not they are professional debaters? I say, NO! <P>These men and women that we elect are supposed to represent US and OUR morals and OUR beliefs as they carry out their jobs in elective office! And if not OUR morals and OUR beliefs, whos morals and beliefs ARE they going to represent? Your vote for an individual is your personal endorcement of what that individual stands for. Your vote is representitive of a partnership with that individual. <P>And, YES, every Christian has a moral and civic responsibility to vote. Every Christian should highly value the freedoms that we have been aforded in the Constitution of the United States of America. And every elected official that we elect should be dedicated to respect, protect and defend that Constitution - INCLUDING all of it's Amendments. If fact, every elected official that does not, should, because of the vow of office that he or she took, be impeached from that office. <P>We Christians are the vast majority in these United States. And the way this system is set up, the mojority is SUPPOSED to rule - regardless of what some liberal, activist judges may say. And this majority needs to stand up now, pull together and vote based upon our Christian morals and practices as opposed to voting for empty political promises of a little more money in our pockets. <P>If we do not pull together now in 2012, then it is very likely that we could lose those constutional freedoms which we so highly value. Where does it say that Jesus went up to Heaven and sprinkled His own blood upon the mercy seat? Yes, I KNOW that He HAD to do it to make everything legal and I believe that He did. But WHERE does the scripture say He did it? <P>I, like so many others, was taught from John 20:17 that when the resurrected Jesus said to Mary Magdalene, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father," it was because He had not as yet taken His blood to Heaven. But now, I don't think this was the case. In fact, I now believe that Jesus successfully fulfilled every aspect of this legal requirement right there upon the cross. <P>How you ask? <P>The Lord told me that if I would break the scriptures and passages down into the Greek and then retranslate and paraphrase them back into everyday English by the lead of the Holy Spirit, that He would reveal things that have been hidden for millenia. <P>That morning after asking that question aloud, the Lord answered me with what turned out to be the key word, "propitiation." <P>Well, I found the scriptures. And after I broke them down, He helped me paraphrase them into the following applicable passages. <P>Rom. 3:23-25 (TGV) For all have missed it and have been found guilty of breach, and have been found lacking the honor and trustworthiness of God; <P>But we have been judged innocent and had our corrupt reputations replaced with a good reputation through the favor that comes from being a child of God, which was made possible by Jesus redeeming us out from under our death sentence, by Christ Jesus paying in full for our breach with His Own life in our place. <P>He made us part of Him, we make Him part of us. <P>He who Father God had pre-purposed and placed on the world-stage as an atoning victim to declare His perfect, sinless reputation and to then voluntarily provide His own life blood for application upon the Mercy Seat for the total remission of our past breaches and sins through the forbearance of God; <P>Father God had pre-purposed or prepared Jesus as the propitiation or Living Mercy Seat, Who would allow Himself to be sacrificed and be covered with His own blood. <P>Heb. 9:11 (TGV) But the Anointed One came to this Earth as The High Priest and future benefactor, pre-packaged within the original, Living Tabernacle. and not some physical structure that was constructed by mankind, like this building we now sit in; <P>Now the tabernacle referred to here is the temple or tabernacle in the wilderness built by Moses according to detailed instructions from God. That tabernacle consisted of a rectangular structure, two rooms deep with a single exterior door at the front and no windows. The strurcture was surrounded by a fenced or walled courtyard with a single gate or enterence in the front. <p>After entering and passing through the courtyard and entering the door to the tabernacle structure, the first room was called the Holy Place and contained three pieces of furniture: A lampstand, incense altar and a table with a basket of unlevened breads. <p>Seperating that room from the next was a thick veil or curtain. In the second room, which was called the Holy of Holies, sat the ark of the covenant covered by an ornate lid which formed the seat of a bench shaded by the wings of a kneeling angel on either side. This lid or bench, which the LORD would come down and sit upon amoung the people, was called the Mercy Seat. <P>Each year during Passover, the High Priest would enter the tabernacle with a bowl of blood from the sacrifice of a perfect lamb and sprinkle it upon that Mercy Seat to atone for the sins of the people. <P>Continuing the paraphrase in Heb. 9:12-14 He said, He (The Anointed Jesus, The High Priest) entered into that Holy of Holies, within Himself, once and for all time, covering the Mercy Seat with His Own blood and thereby obtained everlasting redemption for us. Not the mere blood of sacrificed livestock, but His own blood. <P>And, if you think the sprinkling blood of mere livestock and with the ashes of some burnt cow is legally sufficient for the purification of the bodies of unholy and defiled people - how much more then is the widely sprinkled and splattered blood of Christ, Who through His Own Holy Spirit, has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice before God, legally sufficient to wash away all of the works of death from your conciousness and a homage to the Living God. <P>So what Heb. 9:11-14 is saying is that Father God sent Jesus to this Earth as our High Priest AND the Living Tabernacle. The the temples or tabernacles that Moses and later Solomon built in acient Israel were just types and shadows of the Living Tabernacle - Jesus. And that Living Tablenacle included the Holy Place, all of it's furnishings, the Holy of Holies and the Mercy Seat, all wrapped up in one! And when Jesus, there upon the cross of Calvary, became covered with His own blood, the Mercy Seat of the Living Tabernacle was also covered, redeeming us once and for all. So, this month I'd like to share with you my personal motivation to enter the ministry of Jesus Christ, develop my ministry and dedicate so much of my time to it. <p>First of all, you need to know that I am not a religious person. I'm no more altruistic than anyone else is. I'm not in this for gold stars or brownie points when I stand before Jesus. And I certainly am not in this for Heaven. <p>Now I do love people, and desire to help them to reach their destiny and to receive all the good things that God has provided for them. And, I want to help people, particularly Christians, to get and stay saved, healed and delivered. And I do want to help them grow from being followers into influential Christian leaders. But all that had nothing to do with my primary motivation for ministry. <p>My primary motivation for ministry was, and is, simply this: The devil tried to kill me, and that ticked me off! Actually, in retrospect, the devil has lied to me, deceived me, hurt me, harmed me, stollen form me, destroyed the work of my hands and has repeatedly tried to kill me. But this last time, his attempt on my life took me down to the very depths of the vally of the shadow of death. Down to the very point of giving up the fight. <p>And guess what? Now it's PAY BACK TIME! <p>So let me ask you a question. Has the devil ever lied to you, deceived you, hurt you, harmed you, stollen form you, destroyed the work of your hands or tried to kill you or a loved one? If so, that OUGHT to tick YOU off too! <p>As we begin 2012, I invite you to join with me and other partners and friends of Tim Greenwood Ministries to do as much damage to the devil's kindom as we are physically and financially able to do throughout this entire year. <p>How? We're going to get more people saved, more people healed, more people delivered from things that are holding them down than ever before. We are going to develop an army of bold Christians that know how to resist the devil at every turn and how to take back all the ground that has been lost over the years. <p>But in order to do this effectivey, we are going to need your help. "I'm no good at mathmatics." "That's too hard for me, I can't do it." We could never afford a big house like that!" Unless we have been taught differently, we unwittingly open the door for the thief to steal the blessings that are rightfully ours. <p>Many lifelong Christians are still just "doing the best they can." The best we can do on our own isn't what God the Father wants for us. He's got His own plans - "I know the plans I have for you.plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We who are called must learn to make Him our true and faithful Partner. Why? Because I can do all things through Christ, (the anointed one), who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). <p>All the way back in Deuteronomy, before Jesus came to sacrifice Himself, God told us what we could have, what we could be, (or not), depending on our choice. Deuteronomy 30, commonly called the blessing and cursing chapter, details what God says we CAN have if we choose life. We are choosing life or death every minute of every day, with every thought, word and deed. We are mindful to control our deeds, and probably rather successful at controlling our thoughts-after all, we have clear instruction from the Father to bring every thought into captivity by listening and heeding what Christ, (the anointed one), said and did. <p>But that little member, the tongue, can be as out of control as a raging bull before we catch ourselves. In everyday conversation, people's words are filled with fear and defeat, and that spirit infects God's family almost before they realize it. "That just scared me to death.., I'm afraid I may lose my job., I think I'm catching the flu." We are the only ones who CAN turn this around - but the Father shows us how in His Word. <p>Remember the woman with the issue of blood? Twelve years she had suffered with this malady. But she came into the public arena, where she was forbidden to go, and touched Jesus' garment. And she said, "I can be made whole, if I will but touch His garment" (Matthew 9:21 paraphrased). The result of her faith - her "I can" statement - she was made whole from that hour. <p>In that same sequence of events, a certain ruler came to Jesus with news of his daughter's death. If Jesus would come and lay His hand on her, she would live. "I can have my daughter's life back." <p>No weapon formed against you shall prosper.this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17) "I can have safety, health, peace through faith in God." <p>I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 16:19). <p>Therefore, daily, we need to recall in our minds, know in our hearts and say with our mouths, "I CAN have all that God has said that I can have; I CAN do all that God has said that I can do; And, I CAN be all that God has said that I can be." Our Jewish friends celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles in October this year. Thanks-giving, not Turkey day or football day, celebrated in November is another time to focus on God and to give Him thanks for all He has done for us and is continuing to do on a daily basis. And, of course, December is the date that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. <p> Our Father is Heaven is spectacular at giving celebrations - we have a wonderful celebration to look forward to - the wedding supper! <p> All throughout the year, but especially this time of year it is important for us to get our minds off of ourselves and our partying and gift getting, and focus on what God has given us, through His Son, Jesus. <p> God knows how to give - Jesus followed His Father and gave of Himself - and we must follow their examples. <p> People are lonely, people are in need of so much, and people are searching for something spiritual in their lives to help break the discouragement and the wonder of "Is There More to Life Question?" <p> Tim and I encourage you to sow into the lives of others, especially now. Do something extra; seek out someone hurting, seek out someone in need of anything and become that gift giver. The Bible says it is better to give than receive. <p> Throughout the year, Tim and I, through your generous financial support and prayer support give to others. People around the world are being helped through the book, Walking In Faith, given Free of Charge. It is wonderful to hear of salvation, healing and deliverance testimonies. <p> We, every one of you included, are a light shining in this dark world. We need to let our light shine with the love of God more so now than ever before. We are the ones to take the hands of others and lead them to Jesus and let them know the love He has for them. We need to teach them, who they are In Christ Jesus! Continuing on in Hebrews 4:1-2: Let us therefore fear or be in awe of God lest a prom-ise of entering His REST, any of you should come short (be lacking or be in need) of it. For unto us was the gospel preached (good news) as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit (was not useful) to them, not be-ing mixed (taking possession and uniting) with faith (fully persuaded) in them that heard it. <p> God's Word is living and powerful. So, when we take the good faith promise for ourselves and act upon it, in good faith, then success and REST will be a natural part of our lives. <p> But just how do we "REST" when the world around us is so hectic and filled with so many troubles? <p> The world teaches us to work hard to get what we want, to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps or that we get what we want by our own effort with some luck thrown in. <p> Hebrews 4:11 tells us to "Labour" to enter into that REST. But the word labour here, does not mean to do everything our own way, with the sweat of our brow and maybe it may work out for us. <p> The word labour means: make speed to enter, be prompt, give diligence or make it my business to understand how to labor or make speed to follow God's way. <p> The word enter means: be set in a place and time to, a purpose to do so, of one mind (with God) or ARISE and have motion towards. What does the Bible say about faith? It is NOW, and faith without ACTIONS is dead. When we LIVE by faith, everyday, in everything, we please God. Why? Faith IS how He operates. And when we unite with Him, we too operate in faith. <p> Can we REST when troubles are all around us, seeming at any moment to come in and swallow us up? <p> Yes, we can, and that is what God wants for us, and just a part of what Jesus lived His life here on earth for.<p> If our foundation is not built on the rock (Jesus) then when troubles hit we will begin acting on our own and not REST on the good faith promises of God and our foundation will prove that it is built on sinking sand.<p> Is it possible for us to truly believe that we do not have to have ANY worries or cares in our life? If we did, then we could truly REST the way God wants us to REST. Glory to God!<p> If we truly believed that Ephesians 3:20 meant what is said: Now unto Him (God) that is able (power to do so, perform repeatedly) to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask (what we desire and it doesn't even have to be an urgent need!) or think according (joined) to the power that works (is active and efficient) in us. Then we would never doubt, worry, have any unbelief or be "stuck in a rut again."<p> Let's go back and dig into a bit more just why the Israelites did not enter the Promised Land; into God's REST for them. Remember that the Old Testament was written for our example, so let's be sure we do not follow in their footsteps and pattern of thinking and acting.<p> Hebrews 4:3 says that they entered NOT in because of unbelief. The Hebrew language says it this way: they were obstinate, rebellious and stubbornly disobedient. They did not believe the good faith word of God, even though He brought them out of Egypt unharmed, not sick or whole and prosperous with the wealth accumulated from the Egyptians. What a short memory - what was their faith in?<p> The Bible says that they COULD NOT enter into the promised land because their unbelief constituted a breach of contract. So, the result of their own unbelief was that they COULD NOT enter into His REST!<p> Since they could not enter, then God says they SHOULD NOT enter His REST. Doubt is one thing, but unbelief is the negation of the good faith relationship. It is a denial or refusal to stay faithful to the agreement.<p> God has given us REST - through His Son, Jesus! When sickness, financial lack, need of answers or troubles of any kind attack - we have been given a place of REST. We don't have to wonder, worry or fret about the outcome - but we must choose to enter, STAY in, abide in and dwell in His REST. This month I am focusing on remission. Remission is similar to mercy and forgiveness, but remission is used "after the fact." That is to say, that a breach or sin, was indeed committed, there was no repentance and therefore no mercy nor forgiveness given, and the "sinner" was judged, found guilty and sentenced for his or her breach of contract. <p style="text-align: justify;"> Sometime after this, the "sinner" hears of the offer of remission, repents and enters into a new good faith agreement by accepting the offer. As a result, the "sinner" goes back before the judge who remits the guilt and the sentence, expunges every record of the breach and, most importantly, restores the person's reputation to a "clean slate" so to speak. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"> If the breach was between the person and God, then remission has the added benefits of the person being adopted into the family of God and thereby allowing the person, as a child of God, to operate from this time forward under the flawless reputation, good credit or righteousness of the God family name. How dull life would be if it were the same everyday - 365 days a year.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Some changes come naturally and are expected. But others may appear gradually and a few come so speedily and unexpectedly that it may throw us for a loop. That's the intended purpose - to hit us so hard that we back off or do nothing or react in a wrong way.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> The Bible says that in this world we may have many troubles - BUT God WILL get us out of them.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Yes, but Marcia, you don't know what I'm going through. Sometimes it seems like one thing after another!</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Well, maybe it's time to examine how you and I are handling these troubles or changes in our life.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> The first thing to examine is our thoughts. Bombarding our mind is "This ALWAYS happens to me." "Oh no, Aunt so and so is coming and we NEVER get along." "Flu season is upon us." "I just can't seem to get out of this worrying." (HINT: Worrying turns into fear!)</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> We must get a grip on our thought life! We MUST take control of our thoughts - or else they will take control of us. This is a true statement and the devil knows it too. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"> One of his names is Diablios and it means that he keeps bombarding you and I with the same thoughts over and over, and if we ALLOW ourselves to dwell on them AND take them in - even a little bit_ then he pushes even harder, until the thoughts drop into our hearts and we speak them out of our mouth - To MAKE THEM SO! We need to learn NOT to take the bait, NOT to walk into the snare.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Jesus said that He came to give us an abundant life, not a so-so life! (John 10:10)</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Change - one day we're feeling well and then - BAM! - were hit with something BIG or small. Well, we have a good faith promise of healing, of prosperity, of well being, of favor and you can go on and on. Search the Bible for the good faith promises of God for yourself.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Jesus paid - in full - for our healing. It does NOT matter what NAME the medical field places on that intruder that hits our body - the situation MUST CHANGE! For by the stripes of Jesus we WERE healed. (I Peter 2:24) No weapon formed against us shall prosper. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Change - we see it all the time in the world. The economy hasn't been the greatest in the last few years - stop blaming one politician or the government or anything else - we may live in the world - but we don't have to be part of it.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> God's plan - given to us in good faith - is to receive and live life by the Kingdom of God laws.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Give and it SHALL be given unto you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together shall men give unto your bosom. (Into your possession).</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Give at least 10% back to God from what we bring in to spread the good news of Jesus Christ around the world. In Malachi 3, Jesus gives us PERMISSION to PROVE Him in this! So when we sign our name, in good faith, to this good faith promise of God then we will prosper, even in a failing economy.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> There are many different changes that may be thrown at us during the course of our lives: family matters, fear (which begins with worry), depression, sickness and the list goes on and on. Shake it off, don't take it in. Attract the enemy with our faith or good faith. This works by our action.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Take hold of God's Word - His good faith promise to you and I - for He will never back off His Word - the good news is, He WON'T lie to us! He won't even tease us. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"> Joshua 1:8 tells us to read the Word, so we may observe to do it, for therein lies the blessing and brings success.</p> <div style="text-align: justify;"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify;">So, when some change, in the form of anything: spiritual, mental, physical or material tries to take hold of us and our family, then you and I must fight back - with all we have: the armor of God, the Word of God, our words, our praises, our thanksgiving, and then stand on the good faith Word of God. I have believed, I am persuaded, and I have committed.</span><br> </span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">I Know</span></span></li> </ul> <span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);">Your <a href="http://www.tgm.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_68&products_id=227&zenid=84b2b3d0443c827155276eda71251e16">faith</a> cannot exceed your knowledge.  To receive salvation, you must first come to know that there is one true God, the Father of Jesus our Lord, King and Savior. And know that Jesus died, was buried and rose again - for us.<br> <br> In order to believe the <a href="http://www.tgm.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_68&products_id=215&zenid=84b2b3d0443c827155276eda71251e16">Bible</a>, one must ascertain who is speaking to whom, by what authority do they speak and the level of their credibility and reputation.  <br> <br> Romans 10:17  Faith, good faith, comes from hearing but even more so, hearing of the good word (good reputation) of God.<br> <br> Hearing brings knowing.  Knowing brings good faith.<br> <br> Experience also brings knowing and good faith, but first one must hear or gain that initial knowledge.  God even invites you to investigate Him based upon the written evidence from Genesis to Revelation, to see if you can find any incidence of Him not keeping His good word, failing to keep a promise or failing to do what He said that He would do.<br> <br> The Bible is the best-preserved and most accurate collection of books in all of human history and nowhere in it, from cover to cover, will you find that God ever failed to keep His word.  This understanding will cause you to know God as Paul came to know God.<br> </span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">I Believe</span></span></li> </ul> <span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);">Believing means to have assurance, confidence, trust and faith (good faith) in someone or something.  It is something that must be possessed, claimed or appropriated as your own.<br> <br> Confession or saying is an important part of operating in faith, but believing or faith is much more than that. We have already seen in the last section how knowing God's word is good and causes faith (good faith) to come.  But Numbers 23:11 even goes further.<br> <br> Numbers 23:19  (TGV) God is not a deceptive liar like man has proved himself to be, neither is the son of man (Jesus) that either should have reason to repent. Has He ever given, spoken or proclaimed His word, and failed to do what He said? Has He ever given, spoken or proclaimed His word, and failed to make it good?  <br> <br> The answer to the question is "no."  That is because God cannot lie and remain as God.<br> Hebrews 6:13-15  (TGV) When God made His promise to Abraham, He backed it to the hilt, putting His own name, reputation and Godhead on the line saying, if I say, "Blessings!" then most assuredly I will bless thee, and if I say, "Increase by multiplication!" then most assuredly I will increase you by multiplication.  And so, after Abraham had patiently waited, he did obtain the promise.<br> <br> So, if God will not lie and always keeps His word then I know that I can have faith (good faith) that as long as I keep doing my part, it is easy to <a href="http://www.tgm.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_68&products_id=229&zenid=84b2b3d0443c827155276eda71251e16">believe</a> in something that or someone who cannot fail.<br> </span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">I am Persuaded</span></span></li> </ul> <span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);">To be persuaded is to be totally convinced.  To be totally convinced you must already both know and believe.<br> <br> Romans 4:20-21  (TGV) Abraham refused to stagger at, waver concerning or doubt the verbal pledge or promise of God or act and speak in bad faith; but rather was enabled and empowered to immediately give honor to God in <a href="http://www.tgm.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=238&zenid=84b2b3d0443c827155276eda71251e16">good faith</a>; And being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, God was able also to perform.<br> <br> But it wasn't just God doing everything for Abraham.  Abraham, as part of the relationship established as a party of the good faith promise, pledge or contract was required to perform his part.  And he successfully did so because he was fully persuaded that God would perform His part.<br> Being fully persuaded is confidence personified.<br> <br> 1John 5:14-15 (TGV) And this is the confidence, assurance and out-spokeness that we have in our relationship with Him (Jesus), that, if we ask anything already covered in His documented decrees, then He will always grant us audience: And if we know that He will grant us the audience, then we already know that we possess the petitions that we ask of Him, no matter what we ask.<br> </span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">I am Committed</span></span></li> </ul> <span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: normal; color: rgb(34, 30, 31);">In the Old Covenant God was willing to settle for compliance, but no longer.  What God is looking for in today's New Covenant believer is voluntary commitment.<br> <br> You see God has made thousands of offers in the form of informal contracts.  We have come to call them promises but they are legal contracts just the same.  To receive the fruit or benefit of any of these promises requires your voluntary commitment to do whatever it takes to fulfill the contract, including establishing the relationship by literally or figuratively signing the document and fully performing your part while maintaining and not breaching the relationship.  There are always  these additional implied responsibilities connected to every good faith relationship.<br> <br> All of this "well, I'll give it my best shot," "I'll do my best," "I'll try," going into a contract is NOT commitment.  Commitment is like buying and taking full responsibility, whereas being non-committal is like renting with little or no responsibilities.  Being non-committal going into a contract is acting in bad faith.<br> <br> Bailing out of a contract, agreement or a commitment, without a written escape clause, is simply breach of contract, or what the Bible calls "sin."  Sin can be against God or against another person.  Both will require repentance and forgiveness before this or any future relationship can be restored. <br> <br> Typically commitments are broken (breached) because one or more parties may have enjoyed at least a portion of the fruit or benefits of the contract and are now looking for any excuse not to fully perform their part.  This is when you hear, "I couldn't fulfill my commitment because, bla, bla, bla."  Because of a breakdown of good faith, people have come to believe that as long as they have a good enough excuse, then commitments, agreement and contracts can be breached with no consequences.<br> <br> When something needs to be done, and you, for whatever reason, agree to do it, then don't just try or do the best you can within the timeframe that you thought it would take.  You see that is only partial compliance and is not commitment.  If you agreed to do something, then see that it gets done, correctly, no matter what it takes or how long it takes, because this is commitment.   </span><small style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold; The planning and preparing have all been done and today you are giving the hand of your precious daughter in marriage. And when the groom is asked if he promises to love, care for, provide for and will remain faithful to your daughter and the marriage, he replies, "Well I'll TRY!" "I'll sure give it my best shot!" <br> <br> As the father of the bride, how are you going to feel about that? No matter how sincere the good intentions of the groom may be, those responses are certainly not a commitment. Your spouse, your employer, your pastor and even God - is NOT INTERESTED in your good intentions! However, they are ALL wanting, desiring and needing your voluntary commitment. Why is commitment so important? <br> <br> Romans 14:23 says whatever is not of faith, is sin. That is to say, whatever is not done or said in good faith is, or will lead to, a breach of contract, a breach of promise or a breach of relationship. Therefore, attempting to enter into a contract, promise or relationship, without committing to it, is an act of bad faith. A letter of intent or a proposal is in no way equivalent to a signed contract. It never has been and never will be. <br> <br> James 2:17, 20, 26 says that faith without works is dead. That is to say, a good faith contract, promise or relationship will not work without commitment, or a good faith contract is worthless without your signature. <br> <br> Good faith, based on love, is the primary foundation of every relationship of every kind. But in order for those relationships to be mutually beneficial, commitment is required. All of the want to, hope to and best good intentions in the world will not produce or fulfill a mutually beneficial relationship. <br> <br> Matthew 7:13-14 says, Enter through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and wide is the road which leads to loss, ruin and destruction and yet many still choose that path. But narrow is the gate and narrow is the path which leads to life, which few seem to find. <br> <br> To explain this passage, let me ask you a question. Is it ok with you for others to treat you in just any old way? Is it ok to lie to you, cheat you, steal from you and deceive you? No, of course not! You want others to treat you with respect, tell you the truth, and to keep their word when they tell you they are going to do something. That's pretty narrow, isn't it? Plus that broad, non-committal way of treating you just any old way may cause you loss, ruin or destruction, no matter how good their intentions may have been. <br> <br> What Jesus is saying here, that despite what the majority seem to be doing, He wants you to commit to treating others in this same narrow way that you want to be treated. <br> <br> God, throughout the Bible, has made you thousands of good faith promises and offers which are designed to benefit you. But in order to receive any of these benefits, these promises and offers must be converted into signed contracts through your verbal good faith commitment. John 10:10 says that we can have that abundant life.<br> <br> As we all should know, the very best of everything comes through His Son, Jesus.  Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  <br> <br> The word "abundance" means: superior quality, plenteous, affluence and wealth.<br> <br> God doesn't want you to "just endure through to the end." He doesn't want His children eating the crumbs that fall from the table. He wants us to be the head and not the tail. He wants His church to be the example and the light to the rest of the world.<br> <br> The Word of God, the truth, sets us free from "settling" with whatever comes our way in life.<br> We can have it all: salvation, grace, righteousness, healing, deliverance, joy, prosperity and on and on it goes.<br> <br> Ephesians 3:20 says: Now to Him who is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.<br> <br> Yes, Satan does come in to try to deceive and steal our blessings, but we know the truth don't we? The devil does not have many different "tricks up his sleeve." He travels a few roads, we should be able to spot him coming and cut off his tricky ways before he strikes.<br> <br> The phrase in verse 13, "take unto you" in the Greek language means "repetition, intensity, seize for yourself and be busy about using."<br> <br> The weapons of our warfare are powerful to the pulling down of strongholds.  Pulling down is getting rid of - once and for all!<br> <br> The breastplate can attach to, or is near the belt, which is the Word of God.  It fits tight to our bodies like a corset so it can protect our heart.  We have been made righteous by Jesus!   <br> <br> We must guard our hearts, allowing nothing or no one to steal God's blessings and His truth from us.<br> <br> The words "Having done all to stand" means this is a commitment, an occupation; there must be no backing down once we begin on this journey.<br> <br> Hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for He is faithful who promised. God gives us "His Word" in good faith.  We must take it, speak it and stand firm while acting in faith to receive something.<br> <br> The meaning of " hold fast" from the Greek is taken from two compound words Kata and Echo.  Kata is something that comes downward so hard and heavy that it can be overpowering and dominating to bring something under the total control of someone.<br> <br> Echo means "I have," meaning possession of.<br> <br> These two words used together means rushing towards something and picking it up and holding it close to us -NEVER letting it go, even to the point of staking your territory and sitting on it so it won't be taken away.  It is like wrapping your arms of faith around something you are believing God for, and you won't let go for anyone or anything.<br> <br> When a soldier drew his sword in battle - he intended to use it effectively, not just to scare the enemy but to kill him and take him down.<br> <br> So we must stand - continuing in our covenant with our good faith; never doubting that the weapons will do what their purpose is - if used properly.<br> <br> Look all around us. He then ask us, "Which side will you be on?"</p> <p>Right now as you read this, Israel is being set up to look like criminals in the court of world opinion when they must use deadly force to defend their borders from a people that will only be happy when every Jew is dead.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel, an undivided Israel - and do it now.</p> <p>What Ambassador Dayan asked me to express to you is this: If those voices in Washington DC do not represent you - then it is imperative that you make YOUR voice heard by them! In other words, what kind of structure is that bond between the Lord and mankind? The answer is: A good faith covenant, contract or relationship. <br> <br> A good faith covenant is, at its most basic level, an agreement between two parties. A good faith covenant in scripture may refer to a mutually agreed or negotiated bilateral pact between two individuals or a unilateral offer of relationship from one individual to another. By way of specific examples, the Lord has explicitly entered into covenant with Noah, Abraham, the nation of Israel, and David. Jeremiah prophesied the coming of a new covenant. Jesus spoke of the last supper in covenantal or contractual language. And the author of the Book of Hebrews described the finished work of Jesus as the fulfillment of the old covenant and the establishment of that new covenant promised by the Lord in Jeremiah.  <br> <br> The concept of good faith covenants is all encompassing in Scripture. In fact, it is the most pervasive, large-scale description of mankind's relationship to the Lord. The very structure of creation was covenantal or contractual, including the original instructions to Adam and Eve to populate the earth, to rule over the world, and to take dominion over all of the Lord's creation. If Adam's obligations were embedded in a covenantal or contractual relationship, then our obligations as their descendents is also covenantal or contractual. <br> <br> One conclusion that you come to is that all mankind, through Adam, is in a contractual relationship with the Lord, and it is not just the Church or assembly of the body of Christ that is contractually bound in this relationship. And, if all mankind is in a contractual relationship with the Lord, then what are mankind's responsibilities in that relationship and what are the sanctions imposed upon individuals for breaching it? <br> Our relationship to the Lord, through good faith covenants, includes the life of every human being bound in a good faith covenantal or contractual relationship. <br> <br> As a king rules his people by a covenant, then every Christian should see every aspect of their life in the context of the Kingdom of God as opposed to being limited to what we have come to call, the Church. <br> A practical atheist finds the meaning of the world and principles of action solely within the world order. A secular approach to the law cannot acknowledge the existence of an independent Lord who rules a dependent humanity through covenants of His determination. <br> <br> Satan and the "world," under his sway, are doing everything possible right now to sever the connection between covenantal or contractual law and morality. If morality is reduced to an emotional opinion, then all contract law will quickly be diminished to the exercise of power. <br> <br> The removal of the morality of good faith from contract law will make it impossible to use contracts, in any form, as an objective criterion of justice, and will result in people using contracts only as a means by which his or her personal or group interests may be advanced at the expense of someone else. <br> <br> Already, we are seeing the breakdown of good faith throughout society. And if this trend is not reversed, soon the notions of good faith, justice and morality, as we know it, may become a completely foreign concept. <br> <br> Good faith contracts and contract law was created and established by the Lord Himself as the foundation of every relationship between He and us and between us and others. Every biblical promise and benefit is a good faith contract, being offered to us by the Lord. All we have to do is to find one that applies to our situation, read it with understanding, believe that it is indeed a contract between the Lord and us personally, unequivocally commit to its fulfillment and put it to work, giving it proper time and attention.<br> <br> Because our Lord Jesus is King, successful good faith contracts flourish in the Lord's Kingdom. If you truly desire to succeed in life, then now is the time to stop rejecting His knowledge, trust Him and start putting His ways to work in your daily life.<br> <br> The first step is living in love; which includes loving the Lord your God and your neighbor. No hatred, no gossiping, no backbiting, no unforgiveness. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. You heard of this saying "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."<br> <br> People get confused about faith and how to use it, so the second step is learning what true, Bible faith is. Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. <br> The first three newsletters of 2011 have been about hope. Reread them, study about hope - right from the pages of your Bible. Hope is important. When Tim was sent home to die - we had no hope left! Get back some hope in your life. Faith will cling to your hope and move you forward to receive.<br> <br> Do you see the words "the evidence of things NOT SEEN" (emphasis mine) in Hebrews 11:1? This is where far too many people lose faith - they want - no, they EXPECT to SEE what they are asking and praying for before they receive it. But if you see something, why do you need faith to receive it? Just grab it and go! You see and receive not from physical sight, but by spiritual sight, right from your heart. This is very important to learn - this lack of understanding can be a huge obstacle for many.<br> <br> God's Word is truth! Jesus told us over and over in the Bible that when we ask anything in His name - to BELIEVE WE HAVE RECEIVED IT! Mark 11:24 "when you pray believe you HAVE RECEIVED what you asked for in prayer and you WILL HAVE what you asked for."<br> <br> This is the KEY to receiving! Well, you may ask, "how can I know God will give it to me?"<br> I John 5:14-15 - This is the confidence (or boldness we have to come to Him) when we ask anything according to His will, we know that He hears us and that we have what we asked for in prayer.<br> Your loving Father has stated very clearly in His Word what His will is. The apostle Paul said He took time to write to you the WHOLE WILL of God.<br> <br> It is now up to each of us to learn God's will for us in His Word. Look up the scriptures in the Bible that have the word "will" in them. Allow God to talk to you and teach you, believe the Word and then do what it says to do.<br> <br> I want to make it clear to you that you WILL have to give up - just let go - of many of your old ways of thinking. This is called "renewing the mind." Throw out the old ways that do not work and put in God the Creators way that works - all the time.<br> <br> You will have to get rid of doubt and fear because they will steal and destroy your faith. James 1:5 tells us that if you doubt, don't think that you will receive from God. Why? It is opposite of His way of living - by faith.<br> <br> How do you get rid of the strongholds of doubt and fear? Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. You speak to that stronghold, that spirit of doubt and fear and command it to leave you in the name of Jesus. Your faith in God will rise to new heights and take off -and what an adventure you will have!<br> <br> Proverbs 4:20-22 - My words are life and health (or medicine) to your whole body, including your mind, will and emotions. If you don't take the medicine - you can't get better. "Well, I'll just look at the bottle or read the Bible but not take what's inside"(acting on the Word). Then be prepared to stay the same way you are now!<br> Joshua 1:8 Speak and meditate on the Word. Why? So you will do what it says and then YOU SHALL MAKE your way prosperous and then you will have success.<br> <br> Faith without actions is dead. You must "act" on your faith. A big hindrance to receiving is our own mouths - what WE SAY. If you are believing for healing in your body - you research God's Word about healing. You learn that it IS His will for you to be well. Jesus went about healing and doing good. He would not do anything opposite of God's will.<br> <br> Mark 11:23 - you speak to the sickness and command it to leave your body in the name of Jesus. This is actually taking part of the armor of God and using the Sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6).<br> <br> Well, Marcia, I just feel plain silly speaking to my body - what if someone hears me? They may think "I've lost it." Do you want healing or not? Maybe someone will hear you and you will be able to help them receive something they need in their life. Sure, they may look at you funny, they may talk and laugh about you behind your back, or maybe even to your face - but one day you may just see them approach you asking for your help and thanking you. <br> <br> Do not speak the things that are. Such as: "I have cancer, diabetes, skin rash" etc. If you are a born again, child of God - sickness has no legal right to be on your body. Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of the law (Gal. 3:13), (Duet. 28:15-61) ALL things are covered: sickness, lack, poverty etc.<br> Prov. 3: 5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall lift you up. Put your faith in Him alone.<br> <br> People are being battered left and right all around us - sickness, financial problems, marriage problems, and people are lost, dying and heading right into the waiting arms of the devil.<br> Psalm 103:3 All the diseases that attack you must go! Your benefits package promises healing of all diseases. Oh, by the way - God does not have to rewrite His benefits package to fit the economy of the present day and time! He does not change. <br> <br> You and I do not have to be ignorant of God's Word any longer! This is the time to press into His Word; His way of living. He tells us that "I know the plans I have to prosper you and give you a long life."<br> <br> While the world's economy, religious system and even governments may be in the dark and failing, you and I have the choice to live our lives God's way so we can be the light that is shinning for them to come to.<br> PLEASE - If you are one that hears God's Word on how to get free of the problems that are plaguing you and just roll your eyes, or wish that person would shut up and turn away and change the subject - PLEASE do not be that way any longer.<br> <br> God wants to lavish His blessing, His very best on you. One popular teaching is that grace is the opposite or reciprocal of the law.<br> Contrary to recent popular opinion, grace is not the opposite of the law. The opposite of the law is lasciviousness or lawlessness, which is not want we want. However, the entire biblical admonition concerning law vs. grace is this: When under the inditement of the law, ALWAYS seek favor over any type of legal justification.<br> If you sin or breach against God, demonstrate the desire to change or to make the breach good, (repent), ask for God's forgiveness and mercy, readily accept the favor that comes from you being His child, and don't try to justify your actions or behavior legally or otherwise.<br> The same goes if you sin or breach against another person.  Demonstrate your desire to make things right, ask for the person's forgiveness and mercy, seek and readily accept any favor that is offered over legal wrangling to justify what you did.<br> Voluntary commitment to the New Covenant law of Love and subsequently good faith encompasses or includes voluntary commitment to the "ten commandments" codified by Moses.<br> One is only "under the law" if one is under inditement for the violation or infraction of a law. If your record has been remitted or wiped clean, then until you violate another law, you are no longer under the law.<br> Now when it comes to grace or favor, you either have it, or you do not - regardless as to wheather you are currently under inditement or not. In the case of God's grace, you are either His child or you are not.  If you are His child then you have special favor in His eyes.<br> The key here seems to be that if you know what grace really is, then you will be less likely to confuse grace with what it is not. This month's Window on the Word shows grace's relationship with faith or good faith. This is the King James translation, which is essentially 1500 AD English. When Paul wrote these words, he did not use the 1500 AD word "grace", but rather the Greek word "charis". We are saved by this charis. But what is it? <br> Everybody TALKS about "grace", they sing songs about "amazing grace", they know grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, but few can definitively explain what it is!  Religious wars have been fought over "grace versus works" when neither side really understood what grace really even was. So what is this grace? <br> I was taking a walk one day, minding my own business, looking at the sky and trees and not even praying, when God spoke to me in an agitated voice.  "Tim, people make my Word too complicated!"  I thought to myself, "Oh boy, what have I done this time?" and asked, "What, what?"  He said, "Take 'grace' for example.  There are Bible schools and seminaries that have multiple semester courses on GRACE!  When my 'grace' is nothing more nor less than - the favor that comes from being a child of God."  <br> He continued, "Do you see those two children on the swings in the park?"  "Assume that those two are your children."  "Now, of ALL the children in the park, which ones have favor in YOUR eyes?"  "Which ones will YOU be willing to take responsibility for, to feed, clothe, shelter, care and provide for until they are old enough to go off on their own?"  I answered, "the ones that belong to me!"  He said, "Exactly!"  <br> "And another thing," He said, "Continually reminding my children that my favor is not merited or deserved is - just as rude as the other children continually reminding your children that they were adopted!"  "You (Christians) are ALL adopted - except for Jesus!  Jesus chose you and I adopted you!  But being adopted in no way means second class!  You ALL start out with equal favor in My eyes!"  Then there was silence and I got home as soon as I could to write it all down and studied it all out.  Father God is unhappy that the religious have so complicated His simple Word.<br> From then until today whenever I hear or read the word "grace" in relation to God, I automatically translate it to "the favor that comes from being a child of God."  From God's perspective, grace is not "unmerited pardon," for that is actually the definition of "mercy," which is only part of that favor. Throughout the King James version of the Bible, "charis" is or should be translated as "favor."  But if you were adopted by Father God, then you have that special favor that comes from being His child.
