What exactly is The Word of God?
I know that this sounds like a silly question, but have you ever really thought about it?

What the "Word of God" means to most people is a black, leather bound book with gold edged pages with the words "Holy Bible" on the spine and cover. But this is NOT God's Word. The Bible is the written record of what God has said, and everything He has said is true. But even this is NOT God's Word.

Let me ask you a question. Is YOUR WORD any good? Can I trust you to keep your WORD? If you make me a promise or we enter into a contract, can you be trusted to fulfill your part? What evidence or guarantee do I have that your WORD is any good?

God's WORD IS GOOD, and only good all the time. The entire Bible is legal testimony to the fact that He fulfills every promise and contract and is legal testimony of His flawless reputation. In fact, Good Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the good reputation of God (Romans 10:17). God actually WARRANTEES His Word by stating that should He ever lie or breach any contract, He would relinquish His Godhead.

The "Word of God" is that which God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) has said. And God considers every promise and statement of fact that He has said to be a legally binding contract, made in Good Faith. God and God's Word does not have integrity. God IS integrity! His Word is the very embodiment of that integrity.

Hallelujah! God's Word is always good and always given in good faith.

Overcoming Obstacles In Good Faith
Article by Marcia Greenwood
The woman with the "issue of blood" was really using her faith in more ways than one the day she ventured out among the crowds. Her goal was to receive her healing.

For twelve long years she repeatedly went to doctors to resolve the issue of continual blood flow from her body. No doctors could help and she even spent most of her money on finding a cure. Now, in her day she was not allowed out among people, for she was considered "unclean."

But she had heard about a man called Jesus and what was happening when He got around people with sickness and people came back healed.

By using her faith, she was determined to go out among the crowds and to touch the garment Jesus was wearing. Would she get all the way? Would someone see her among the people walking with Jesus and tell her to go away and go back home?

She knew in her heart that if she could just touch Jesus clothing, and not even talk to Him, she would receive her healing and the bleeding would stop.

Alas, she did get through the crowds, for there were many that day following Jesus and Jairus to his house because his daughter was ill and near death. The woman could not allow any fear to rise up. She had to set her course and not allow any outside interference to steal her healing.

She got closer and closer. She saw Jesus just ahead. She was bold, determined, full of faith and expectation (Bible hope) - knowing that she would finally be well in a moments time. There she was, right next to Jesus. She bent low and touched the hem of His garment He was wearing.

She sighed in relief. I did it! Now I can be normal again, now I can go and do anything I want, go anywhere I want to go. Maybe a small tear of happiness touched her cheek.

But then it happened! Jesus stopped and said "Who touched me?" The apostles may have thought "What is He talking about?"

With so many people crowding in, so many were "touching" Him! But Jesus knew that healing power went out of Him. Jesus knew something powerful and important just happened.

What was the woman to do? Would she keep quiet? But no, her faith rose up within her, even though her body began to tremble and she fell down at Jesus feet and told why she had touched him - she desired her healing. She also told the crowd how she was instantly healed!

In love, Jesus spoke to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace." This was a teaching moment for Jesus. How many others who were sick were so near Jesus but did not use their faith to receive their healing? Jesus said that HER FAITH healed her.

When Jesus said "go in peace." He was telling her, you have no reason to be afraid to be in public anymore, you have been made whole. Now go and live your life now in prosperity, quietness and be at rest, for you are set at one again.

Maybe there are some of you reading this message that have tried many things to get well. The doctors may have done their best, but you are still sick. Or, even worse, some devastating report has come to you. "You have cancer, you have heart disease, you have AIDS or you have something incurable and deadly."

What do you do? Tim and I know firsthand what this is like. For 15 years ago, his heart surgery failed and the doctors could do no more. He was going to die, they told us.

Fear came roaring in like a lion, ready to overtake us. We didn't even know what faith was at that time!

We continued to look for other methods to heal Tim.

Why am I telling you this? Because, in His great love for us - God took us right back to His good faith healing promise in His Word, the bible.

God loves YOU also!

No matter what you may have done in the past.
No matter if you, yourself, caused any type of illness to come on you.

His mercy is new every morning! He will forgive any sin you have EVER committed - IF you ask Him. AND - He will FORGET those sins.

If you find yourself in this type of situation - reach out for the ONLY one who can heal you and make you whole! The promise is there, Jesus already took those stripes for your healing, and He already redeemed you from the curse of the law.

Just begin again. In good faith - reach out and receive the good faith promise of healing, or whatever it is you are believing for and tell God - "I believe Jesus has healed me, and I believe I have been healed by His stripes."

That promise of healing - is a contract - Jesus' name is already on it - put yours on it too - and set your faith - STAND on the good faith promise of healing until you receive your wholeness.

Just as the "woman with the issue of blood" received her healing by using her faith - you can too, for what Jesus did for her - HE WILL DO FOR YOU!
