Have you ever thought about what it takes to
have a happy, successful, fulfilled life? Why do some people seem
to have a life filled with victories, and other people's lives are "hit
and miss" so much of the time?
God desires for all of His children to be blessed. He cares very
much about our quality of life. He is our Father, our Provider and
Protector. He truly doesn't want us to have any cares or worries.
He wants our lives stress-free and full of peace. When we enter into a
close, loving fellowship with Him then He draws us close to Him. We are
protected, safe and loved.
In Matthew 6:33, we are told to "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
What things? Some of the things are: clothing, food, a place to live,
and so much more.
While Jesus was on earth, He said that He and His Father were one.
Jesus spoke nothing except what the Father said! Think
about it for a moment what do you speak about your life?
Do you speak what the Bible says about yourself, about your livelihood,
about your finances, about your family, and the list can go on and on.
Or, do you speak the situation you are in at the time? We need to have
the same kind of fellowship with God and trust Him at all times,
following Jesus' example. We truly need to live as Psalm 91 says -"He
that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty."
So many people don't take the time to get to know God intimately.
Oh, many will go to church once a week, thinking they are being
obedient, they listen to a sermon and sing songs of worship; but once
they are out of the church doors they do not pay attention to how the
Bible instructs them to live.
Proverbs 4:2-22 says to pay attention to my words (the Bible) do not
let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart, for they are
life to those that find them, and health or medicine to a man's
whole body.
God's Words, His truth are life to us; they will direct our path and
keep us safe. Maybe it's time for you to let go of directing your own
life and follow the instructions God have given you through the Bible.
Joshua 1:8 tells us to speak the Word, meditate on the Words of the
Bible, so that we will then do what God says to do; for then our life
will be prosperous, and we will have good success. This is how victory
will come about in every area of our lives.
Take just one area in a person's life - a very big part - in the area
of financial success. Too many people are actually afraid to "let go"
of their money and tithe. Actually, when a person tithes, or gives 10%
of his or her income into the Kingdom of God, this is how God gives
back to them. God's Master plan works - all of the time!
God doesn't think of tithing or giving offerings as "letting go", but
as sowing seed. Just as a person who plants a garden doesn't
think of "letting go" or losing the seed, but they plant it into good
ground to reap a better harvest of what was planted. I
personally know God's plan works; I have been tithing since 11th grade,
and God continues to bless me!
Trust God, take Him at His word, He will never lie to you. He
fulfills all of His promises. Jesus came to this earth so we can live
an abundant, victorious life (John 10:10). So, if you want to be
blessed and have a victorious life then you need to seek God's answers
to your questions, and then do what the word says to do. Jesus
makes it easy for us. He says his burden is easy and His yoke is
light.
