So I ask you: How valuable are you, as a living, breathing, human being right now?

People have wrong ideas about God. They think God is some kind of a stern, legalistic judge, just waiting for them to do something wrong so that He can slam them over the head with the Bible. They believe that God goes down the healing line and says, my daughter your eye is healed, my son you have been delivered from addiction, my child your legs are made whole, but YOU. there's just something about YOU that just ticks me off!

And that's the way some people think God sees them, but you need to see yourself as God sees you.

How valuable are you to God?
You are so valuable, that Jesus said the kingdom of God is like a man who found a treasure in a field. And he went home and sold all that he had and bought that field. Don't you see? You are that treasure in the field of the world.

God saw you. I don't care where you are in life. You may be a rich businessman. You may be a prostitute. You may be on drugs. You may be a battered wife or a battering husband. I don't know where you are, but God sees every human being as a treasure.

But how valuable are you to Jesus?
According to Mat. 26: After Judas sold out Jesus for about $1000 bucks in today's silver, the temple guards came for Jesus, bound Him, put a hood over His head and brought Him before the High Priest's court, where when the High Priest ask Jesus if He were indeed the Messiah and the Son of God, Jesus responded, "YOU are the one that said that!"

But I will say, that "It won't be long till you the Son of man seated at the right hand of power - coming in the clouds of Heaven."

After that they lost control beating Jesus, slapping Jesus, spitting in Jesus' face and even ripping out chunks of His beard, before they drug Jesus before Pilate, demanding that Jesus be executed for blasphemy.

According to Mat. 27: After interrogation, Pilate found Jesus innocent. But wanting to satisfy the riotous religious Jews, he ordered Jesus whipped.

The whipping got out of control and they nearly beat Jesus to death with sticks, ropes and a multi-strand whip that stroke after stroke ripped and tattered His flesh from head to toe.

They laid crossed beams upon His shoulders and led him outside of the city where, using large iron spikes, they impaled Jesus by the hands and feet to it. They lifted it and Jesus up vertically fixing the lower beam into position by dropping it into a shallow hole in the rock.

Around noon, Jesus was heard shouting, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" And not long after that, Jesus shouted, "IT IS FINISHED!" and expelled His last breath.

Jesus was INNOCENT. He didn't deserve those beatings. He didn't deserve that humiliation. Jesus never sinned! Not even once. Not His entire life!

He didn't die for what HE did. He died for what YOU and I did. But WHY?

Isa. 53:4-5 says, "Surely HE (Jesus) hath borne (lifted off and carried away) OUR griefs, (weaknesses, sicknesses, anxieties); and HE (Jesus) has already carried away (as HIS own burden) OUR sorrows (anguish, afflictions and pain). Even if WE [ignorantly] considered Him struck down, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. HE was wounded for OUR sins, HE was bruised for OUR wickedness: HE took OUR punishment so that WE could be whole; and through each of those stripes that the whip laid upon HIS body, WE are healed.

Through that beating HE redeemed you from sickness, disease, poverty, lack, addiction, compulsion, and bondage of every kind. Through HIS shed blood, all of YOUR past and present sins, transgressions and breaches of relationship were forgiven.

So, How valuable are you?
God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son and, whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

That's hard for us to believe. We can believe that God loves the world in a great, mass sort of way; but it's difficult for us to believe that God loves us - individually. But in March we celebrated the RESURRECTION! Because: Jesus didn't just DIE, and get buried that day. Three days and three nights later - He ROSE from the dead, and walked out of that tomb! ALIVE! And by the time Mary got back Sunday morning, the tomb was open and empty.

And Jesus was ALIVE! And STILL is! And is seated at the right hand of Father God as the KING of the Kingdom of God.

How valuable are you?
God says that He thought of YOU before the foundation of the world! And He did ALL of this for YOU. Jesus made the difference.

And if you think you got a raw deal, and if you don't like the way you got born the first time, then get - born again.

That's what we Christians call it, when you surrender yourself to God and receive and swear allegiance to Jesus as you Lord and your King.

It's really not complicated. All you have to do is to sincerely ask him. Just say:

Father God, I surrender to you and desire to be your child.
Lord Jesus, I make You the Lord of my life and dedicate the rest of that life to you as my King.
I ask You to lift me, save me, clean me up and use me in your Kingdom and I ask your Holy Spirit to come into my heart now!
I believe that I receive, what I have asked, according to God's own Word, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Well, if you just prayed that prayer, lot's of stuff just happened. You just got adopted into the God family, all your sins were forgiven and you just became a new Kingdom citizen with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities.  TGM
