Getting Past the BASICS
It doesn’t take much faith to believe in something that cannot fail.

It doesn’t take much faith to believe that you can become something that you already are.

It doesn’t take much faith to believe that you can have something that already belongs to you.

It doesn’t take much faith to believe that you can do something that you already have the ability within you to do.

Mark 11:23-24, the very first scripture that the Holy Spirit selected to teach me, because then I was a doubter, not a believer.  It says, “IF you believe and DOUBT NOT.”

This scripture is the FRAME WORK for operating in FAITH.

It is a PRIMARY scripture.  It is the Primer.  It’s the 1st grade reader. It’s the ABC’s of FAITH.

Why are so many still stuck here?
Why is there still doubt?
If you still doubt, do you even know what it is that you are doubting?

What you doubt is that God’s Word is good.
What you doubt is that God will keep His promises.

What you doubt is that God will do what He said He would do.

Now, on the other hand, if you are a believer, you need not pray for your healing.

No, Isaiah 53:10 says that it pleased God to bruise Jesus and make Him sick with OUR sicknesses and diseases.  And back in verses 4 and 5 it says that you already HAVE healing.  It says that He, Jesus, has already borne and carried our sicknesses and diseases, and that by His stripes we are healed.

So why beg, plead, pray or even ask for something that you already have?

The contract is right there.  Why not just sign it, take it before the throne of grace, thank God and begin celebrating.  TGM

New Wine,
Old Wineskins

by Marcia Greenwood

Recently, while reading Mark 2:22, I thought about the meaning of the parable that Jesus used here - “and no man puts new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the wine will burst the skins, the wine is lost and the container is destroyed; but new wine is only put in new (unused) wineskins.”

Now in the natural, this makes perfect sense. Fermentation is the natural chemical process of breaking down the sugar-water in grape juice into alcohol and CO2 gas.  If fermenting juice is sealed in an old, previously used wine skin that has already expanded all it can, the expanding gas will cause it to burst.  But if the fermenting juice is put into a new skin then it has the pliability to expand. But then Jesus wasn’t talking about the physical meaning of this but of the spiritual.

Our thoughts, beliefs and actions must be renewed (changed) for situations to change in our lives. Our old, negative behaviors will no longer work in God’s Kingdom living.  Our old ways of doing things will not suddenly reverse and begin working for the better. We must transform our minds by thinking differently and acting on the Word of God.

Our affirmations must be true and positive to change anything negative in our lives.  When we do this – change will come. Willpower alone cannot break old habits. Right thinking begins to break bad habits. Right thinking keeps good habits continuing.

For instance: the word “dieting” takes away from a positive mind frame on losing weight. Whereas, “eating healthy” begins to restore health to us, and can then take a permanent place in our minds, our speaking and our living.

Concerning finances: Don’t say things like “I’ll never have enough,” “I’ll never get a great job” or “I’ll never get out of debt.”

Confess things like: “The Word says that we can prove God when we tithe.” “I am a thither, and God says that He will open up the windows of heaven and pour me out a blessing to overflowing.” God says, “Give and it will be given unto me, good measure and pressed down will be given back unto me.”

Philippians 2:5 tells us “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”

The Bible says – Don’t lean to your own understanding. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.

The apostle Paul says, don’t look behind. Now this doesn’t mean we should not learn from our past mistakes, but we should not allow these mistakes, or these past sins to drag us down and keep us thinking with our old mind frames.  We need to learn who we are in Christ Jesus and begin acting and speaking this way.

Spend time with God daily by praising and worshiping Him. Draw close to Him and listen for instruction and reminders from Him.  There are no limits with God. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God wants to give us abundantly above what we can think or imagine.  So dream and believe bigger then you ever have before.

The Bible will come alive in our lives when we read it through our new way of thinking. Allow the Word to grow in you and expand your way of thinking.  Hosea 4:6 is instruction for us. “My people perish for lack of knowledge, for they have rejected knowledge.”

John 8:31-32 – “If you continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
When we are activily living with Kingdom thinking then we are living daily in love.  This is how God operates, and how Jesus operated here on earth.  We must do the same.

We need to get rid of old religious mind- sets and take up a new way of thinking that lines up with the Word of God and Kingdom living.  By living this way, our minds will be transformed and we will begin creating our future – right now. The power to change is within us to flourish right this very moment by taking our first step, and then continuing on in this wonderful, blessed, Kingdom life. TGM

Why is there a need to “renew” the mind and “guard” it once renewed?
This 2 CD Series will answer those questions and teach you how to do it.
